Franklin County deputies take the ‘plunge’

Brookville, In. — Deputies from the Franklin County Sheriff’s Department recently participated in the 2019 Polar Plunge for Indiana Special Olympics.

The deputies and many others took the plunge at the Whitewater Memorial State Park beach, on the northern portion of Brookville Lake.  Deputy Jason Lovins and Greensburg Police Chief Brendan Bridges kicked the event off as torchbearers.

“This is for such a great cause.” said Deputy Lovins.  “It was an honor to have been asked to be a torchbearer and take the plunge with these two wonderful athletes.” Deputy Lovins continued.
