Franklin County was hoping for a winner during Monday’s Volleyball Senior Night, but Union County spoiled the fun winning 3-1: 25-22, 18-25, 25-12 and 25-14.
“It was not the end result we were looking for, but it was Senior Night for Kacie Williams, Saige Mergenthal, Kylie Lea, Hadlee Hornsby, Meredith Hoff and Jenna Bruns,” said Franklin County coach Jill Mergenthal. “It has been so much fun coaching this group of girls the past four years! All six of them started sets one and two and played amazing.”

Union County also escaped from Brookville with a 2-1 JV win: 25-23, 23-25 and 15-4.
“Our girls fought back nearly 10 points in both the first and second sets,” said FC JV coach Tana Stang. “In the third set, we ran out of time and ending up losing 2-1.”
