Former HS Football Star Dies in Crash

(Lawrenceburg, IN) – A 2021 South Dearborn High School graduate and football star was killed in a single-vehicle accident early Wednesday in Lawrenceburg.

Police say the vehicle driven by Bryce Valdez flipped over a guardrail at U.S. 50 and Hollywood Boulevard around 1 a.m.

Investigators say Valdez died on impact, and that he was the only person in the vehicle.

The investigation is ongoing.

According to southdearbornathletics.com, Valdez was a four-year letterman in football, all EIAC his junior and senior years, and Most Valuable Defensive Lineman and a team captain his senior season.

He was also chosen as King his senior year during football Homecoming festivities at South Dearborn.
