Florence Rose Shelp, 87, Greensburg, Indiana, passed away on Friday, March 3, 2017 at the Aspen Place Health Campus in Greensburg. Born October 7, 1929 in Greensburg, Indiana, she was the daughter of Earl and Esther (Hankins) Bruner. Florence worked at Minears Clothing Store for several years. She was married to Henry R. Shelp on December 14, 1946 and he preceded her in death on November 20, 2006. She is survived by one son, Larry (Evelyn) Shelp, Seymour; one daughter, Cheryl Ann (Larry) Abshear, Metamora; three sisters, Linda Drew, Mabel Williams, Eloise Remmler; six grandchildren, six great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband; one son, Garry R. Shelp; two brothers, Thomas Bruner, Donald Bruner; one sister, Nancy Martin. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 9 to 11:00 a.m. at the Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home in Greensburg. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 8, 2017 at the funeral home with Rev. Rob Edwards officiating. Interment will be held in the Shelby Cemetery in Rexville, Indiana.
