The Ohio River Valley Conference released its first ORVC report of the winter season. Girls Basketball Player of the Week honors went to Rising Sun’s Alyssa Simpson.
Over her first four games, Simpson averaged nearly 17 points and 13 rebounds a game. She leads the conference in both categories.
Ripley County girls players listed among the top performers included Jac-Cen-Del’s Annabelle Williams, Aundrea Cullen and Desiree Sparks along with Milan’s Audrey Schmidt.
Sparks leads the ORVC in field goal shooting at 50 percent and Williams currently tops the conference in free throw shooting at 92 percent.
