(Metamora, IN) – The investigation continues into what touched off a fire that heavily damaged Mr. Fudge’s Confectionary in Metamora’s historic district Friday evening.
Firefighters from Metamora, Brookville, and Laurel – along with Letts EMS/Franklin County Paramedics – arrived and found smoke and flames showing from the east side of the popular fudge, ice cream and candy shop.
They were able to put out the fire quickly and contain damage to one area.
There were no injuries reported.
The store’s owners say they plan to rebuild.
