21st Century Homemakers Program (Public is welcome)

The Public is invited to a program of various topics sponsored by Ripley County Extension Homemakers planned for Saturday, May 11th 2019.  The program will be held at South Ripley Elementary School, 1568 S. Benham  Rd. Versailles IN.  Those attending will be able to choose 4 sessions 45 minutes each.  The registration fee for the day is $15 this includes registration fee, small breakfast, lunch and door prizes.  Registration begins at 9:00 am and the sessions begin at 9:30 and the day should finish about 2:00 pm.   Guest Speaker for the day will be Sergeant Wheeles from Indiana State Police.

Sessions for the day include:

1)Electric Pressure Cooker tips and recipes by Rachael Smith Ripley County Extension Educator, learn tip and tricks using electric pressure cooker.

2)Making by Lucky Feather Soapery, Learn about soap making process.

3)Make-n-Take Trivet – Make an easy, beautiful hand painted trivet for spring and summer (Additional Cost $10.)

4) Cooking with herbs by Peg Ehlers, Switzerland Co Extension Educator – Learn cooking tips with fresh herbs.

5) Learn to Crochet by Rosie Kissel  – This is a 90-minute session. (this will count as 2 sessions) Additional Cost $6. This includes all tools and threads needed.

6) Tea Towel Aprons by the Quilter’s Nook – Learn how to make a beautiful and easy apron from a tea towel.  Kits and pattern available for purchase.

7) Essential Oils – by Dr. Amy Miller – Learn more about the uses of essential oils around the home.

8)Exploring Indiana – Paul Wonning, Mossy Feet Books – Hear about Exploring Indiana sites and local museums.

A choice between ham and turkey sandwiches on white or wheat bread along with your choices of 4 sessions plus an alternate, and your registration fees should be sent to Ripley County Extension Office, 525 W. Beech St. Osgood, In 47037.  Or e-mailed to SMITH630@PURDUE.EDU Checks should be made to Ripley County Extension Homemakers.  Registration is due April 26th.
