Eugene E. Borgman, age 79 of Batesville, passed away peacefully July 3, 2022 at home surrounded by his family. Born August 25, 1942 in Ripley County Indiana, he is the son of Viola (Nee: Schmid) and Ernest Borgman. He married Linda Bulach August 21, 1971.
He co-owned Borgman Auto Sales with his brother Jim for over 50 years and enjoyed working on cars. Able to fix most anything, Eugene also worked on things around the house and wasn’t afraid to take on a project. Blessed with a sense of humor, he loved to make people laugh.
Eugene is survived by his wife Linda; daughters Tracy (Bryan) Thomas of Liberty Township, Ohio, Cassie (Corey) Sexson of Zionsville, Indiana; sons Don (Cheryl) Borgman of Hamburg, Doug (Tricia) Borgman of Cedar Grove, Indiana; sisters Nancy Allen of Batesville, Margie Behlmer of Batesville, Linda Denninger of Columbus, Indiana; brother Ron Borgman of Greensburg and 10 grandchildren with one on the way including Greyson, Brooklyn and Beckham Thomas, Chase Sexson, Braylen, Dominic and Makynze Borgman and Lorelai, Ava and Logan Borgman. In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by his brother Jim.
Visitation is Saturday, July 9th from 9 – 10:30 a.m. at the Weigel Funeral Home. Funeral services follow at 11 a.m. at St. Louis Church with Rev. Stan Pondo officiating and burial in the church cemetery. The family requests memorials to Phi Beta Psi Sorority Cancer Research.
