Estel Earl Gover, 92, of Lawrenceburg, Indiana, formerly of Aurora, passed away Wednesday, February 14, 2018.
He was born June 25, 1925 in Norwood, OH, son of the late Marion Woodrow Gover and Alma Jane Rogers Gover Dapprich.
He served his country as a proud member of the United States Navy during WWII.
Estel worked as a Trade Welder. He was a member of the Aurora Church of Christ, Aurora American Legion and Kentucky Masonic Lodge. He enjoyed singing in the church choir. Estel loved the farm, gardening, hunting, fishing and horses. He was also a bee keeper
Surviving are daughters, Joyce (Gary) Bruehl of Liberty Township, OH, Bev (Russ) DeSalvo of Aurora, IN; sister, Aileen Stephano of MI; grandchildren, Amy, Adam, and Angela DeSalvo; great-grandchildren, Addyson, Joshua, and Jared DeSalvo, Skylar, Trey, Rylee, and Kaylee Thies.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his loving wife of 61 years, Violet H. Gover, 1 brother and 1 sister.
Friends will be received Tuesday, February 20, 2018, 12:00 pm – 2:00 pm at the Rullman Hunger Funeral Home.
Services will be held at the Funeral Home at 2:00 pm.
Interment will follow in the River View Cemetery, Aurora, Indiana. Military graveside services will be conducted by members of local Veterans Service Organizations.
