Edward C. Braemer, 87, of Lawrenceburg, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, February 28, 2026.
He was born on July 30, 1938, in Gloversville, New York, the son of the late Walter Braemer and Blossom (Samburgh) Braemer.
Edward proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. He dedicated many years of his professional career to MIS, where he served as Vice President.
He was a proud member of AMVets in Cincinnati (Westwood), serving with quiet dignity in the Honor Guard and the Kingsmen. Among his most cherished experiences was his time with the Twilighters, the music group whose camaraderie and shared passion created memories that stayed with him throughout his life.
Edward is survived by his loving spouse, Janet (Martin) Braemer; his sons, Thomas E. (Leslie Braemer) Braemer, Edward C. (Jennifer Fair) Braemer Jr., and Mark A. (Alex Fornwald) Braemer; his daughter Sian C. (David Kearney) Bitner-Kearney; his grandchildren, Sean M,, Thomas E. Jr., Megan, Emma-Leigh, Andrea L., Kristen, Erin, and Liam M.; his great-grandchildren, Zoey, Ender, Basil, Eloise, and Gisselle; and his brother, Raymond Braemer.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Blossom Braemer, and his siblings, Walter, Bud, Craig, Patricia, and Donald.
Friends will be received on Saturday, March 14, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Rullman Hunger Funeral Home in Aurora, Indiana. Funeral services will begin at 1:00 p.m. Military honors will be conducted by the Southeastern Indiana Honor Guard.
