Edith Sandusky

                            REVISED OBITUARY NOTICE

Edith Flora Sandusky, 78, of Dillsboro, passed away Saturday, January 9, 2021 at St. Elizabeth Dearborn Hospital. Edith was born on Saturday, December 19, 1942 to Henry Potter and Esther (Collins) Potter in Somerville, Massachusetts. On Saturday, June 6, 1964, Edith married Everett Sandusky who preceded her in death on October 1, 2013. In her free time, she loved to crochet, often making dolls and slippers. Edith enjoyed hummingbirds, playing bingo, and camping. Above all, she loved spending time with her family and grandchildren.

Edith is survived by her sons Wayne Sandusky and Allen Sandusky both of Dillsboro; Stepdaughter Regina Stewart of Sharonville, Ohio; brother Henry Potter (Kathy) of Erlanger, Kentucky; sister Christine Leach of Dillsboro; grandson Michael Sandusky (Jennifer) and four great grandchildren. Edith was preceded in death by her husband, Everett; her parents, Henry and Esther Potter; brothers Fred and Joe Potter; and brother-in-law Robert Leach.

Family and friends may gather to share and remember Edith on Saturday, January 16, 2021 from 9 to 11 AM at Filter-DeVries-Moore Funeral Home.  A service will follow at 11 AM with Pastor Tom Holt officiating.  Burial will follow in Oakdale Cemetery in Dillsboro. Memorials may be given in honor of Edith to Shriners Hospital for Children.
