(Edinburgh, IN) – The Milan Indians football game at Edinburgh on Friday was abruptly canceled just a few hours before kickoff.
The interim superintendent at Edinburgh Schools told Indianapolis media outlets that the game and all homecoming-related activities were scrubbed because of a harassment complaint that had been filed.
He also felt it was necessary to report the situation to police.
An investigation into the complaint is underway.
The Indy Star is reporting the harassment allegedly involves several Lancer football players, and that the remainder of the team’s season is in jeopardy.
Meanwhile, the Indians return to the gridiron this Friday when they host Brown County in Mid-Indiana Conference action. Kickoff is at 7 p.m.
