(St. Leon, IN) – Improvements to the East Central High School parking lot will be made this summer.
School officials say the aim of the project is to enhance safety and streamline traffic flow.
It’s part of a series of upgrades throughout the Sunman-Dearborn School Corporation during calendar year 2025.
Work will center on parent drop off and pickup areas, staff and student parking, and pedestrian safety.
Here’s what you can expect:
- Parent Drop-Off & Pick-Up: A dedicated area to ensure smooth and safe drop-offs, keeping student pedestrians and vehicles separate and expanded space for cars at dismissal time.
- Staff Parking: Reserved spots for our hardworking team, ensuring easy access and less congestion.
- Student Parking: Expanded and clearly marked spaces for students, improving organization.
- Pedestrian Safety: New direct walking paths to eliminate crossing through vehicle traffic zones.
