Earl “Buddy” A. Cross, of Aurora, Indiana, passed away August 3, 2017 in Lawrenceburg, Indiana.
He was born January 26, 1937 in Milan, IN, son of the late Owen Estel and Anna Lucille (Bushhorn) Cross.
He served his country as a member of the United States Navy.
Earl retired from Anchor Glass after over 30 years of service.
He was a member of American Legion Post 777. Earl enjoyed collecting Nascar and hats. He was a prankster and enjoyed watching IU Basketball, Cincinnati Reds Baseball and Bengals Football.
Surviving are wife, Sharon (Evans) Cross of Aurora, IN; daughter, Deborah “Debby” Ann Grubbs of Aurora, IN; son, Randy Albert (Meg) Cross of Lawrenceburg, IN; two sisters, Delores Mae (Robert) Benham of Milan, IN, Joyce Alene (Richard) Meyer of Batesville, IN; brother, David Owen (Mary) Cross of Milan, IN; three granddaughters, Chelsey Ann Grubbs of Aurora, IN, Cassandra Jane Grubbs of Aurora, IN, Savannah Alexis Cross of Lawrenceburg, IN; and one grandson, Nathan William Cross of Lawrenceburg, IN; .
He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Joann Barbara Cole and Janet Kay Curry.
Friends will be received Saturday, August 12, 2017, 11:00 am – 1:00 pm at the Rullman Hunger Funeral Home, 219 Mechanic Street, Aurora, Indiana.
Services will be held at the funeral home at 1:00 pm with Father Stephen Donahue officiating.
Interment will follow in the River View Cemetery, Aurora, Indiana.
