Duane S. Watson, 68, of Dillsboro, Indiana, passed away Thursday, June 3, 2021, in Lawrenceburg, Indiana.
He was born February 20, 1953, in Boulder City, NV, son of the late Arleigh Watson and LaRita (Warlick) Watson.
He worked as a Bartender for Hollywood Casino, retiring after over 18 years of service.
Duane was a great musician, he was inducted into the Las Vegas Rock N Roll Hall of Fame 3 times. He has opened with the Dooby Brothers as well as the Jackson 5. In his younger years he loved to run. Duane loved spending time with his family and friends, and was in the process of moving back to Nevada to be with his daughter, as well as, his close friends. He will be greatly missed by them all.
Duane is survived by his loving spouse of 50 years, Denise (Chambers) Watson; daughter, Tawnya Downard of Henderson, NV; brothers, George Watson of KS, Gary (Cheryl) Watson of KS; grandchild, Achele Earley; great-grandchildren, Tave, Dalton, Delkan and Caleb Earley; and two life long friends and band members, Barry (Sue) Morris of NV, Dan (Sue) Higley of NV.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
