Douglas “Doug” Dwayne Robinson, 82, Milan

       Douglas Dwayne Robinson age 82 of Milan passed away Saturday, October 21, 2023 at St. Andrews Health Campus in Batesville. Doug was born on Friday, September 26, 1941 in Bremen, Indiana; son of Harry and Leah (Walker) Robinson. Doug married Racine (Short) Robinson, on July 20, 1989, and she survives. Doug worked for Hill-Rom Company in Batesville in the plating plant where he retired after 43 years. Doug was also a truck driver in his early years. Doug enjoyed taking his wife Racine to many different casinos. He also enjoyed racing trucks, bowling, boating, fishing, owning horses, and riding. He loved to travel and going on vacations. He loved to go camping and sit by a fire eating smores. He was a former president of the CB club and enjoyed being a member of the local horse club. He also enjoyed hunting and building guns from kits. He was always busy doing a craft of some sort like restoring cars. Doug was a very kind and generous person to everyone and any kind of animal. Doug will be missed by many of his caretakers of St. Andrews which he loved. He will also be missed by all of his friends, especially his roommate from St. Andrews.

Doug will be missed by his wife, Racine Robinson of Sunman; daughters Theresa (Phillip) Lamping of Batesville, Lawrencia (Scott) Luers of Batesville, and Melissa (Richard) Lecher of Batesville; stepsons Tony (Jennifer) Campos and Rodney Campos; stepdaughters Jaime Campos and Lisa Campos; many grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.

Doug was preceded in death by his parents Harry and Leah Robinson; first wife Glenna (Ruble) Robinson; second wife Dianna (Oliphant) Robinson; brothers Donald Robinson and Lawrence Robinson; sisters Neva Cummings, Marion Young, and JoAnn Bryant; grandson Tylor Adams; and great-granddaughter Nataliee Lecher.

Family and friends may gather in remembering Doug from 9:00-11:00 AM, Thursday, October 26, 2023 at the Laws-Carr-Moore Funeral Home in Milan. A service will immediately follow at 11:00 AM with Pastor Tom Holt officiating. Memorials may be given in honor of Doug to St. Andrews Activity Fund.
