Donna R. (Hopper) Campbell

Donna R. (Hopper) Campbell, 76, of Lawrenceburg, Indiana, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Saturday, July 2, 2022, in Edgewood, Kentucky.

She was born March 13, 1946, in Milan, IN, daughter of the late William Nathan Hopper and Mary Ruth (Schwing) Hopper.

She worked as a Respiratory Therapist and a Secretary for St Elizabeth Hospital, retiring after over 28 years of service.

She was a member of Aurora Life Church for over 52 years. She served as a deaconess and taught Sunday School for many years. Donna enjoyed teaching the young children and made a big impact on their lives. Donna coordinated food for occasions at the church. She enjoyed crocheting, vacationing on the beach, shopping, playing cards, and games, especially word games. Donna also enjoyed gospel music, going to concerts, and participating in a Birthday Club. She loved to travel with her husband, Elmer. They visited almost all of the states. She collected bells from each state that she visited. Donna had a positive attitude and a laugh that was infectious. She enjoyed joking around with everyone and made friends easily because of her actions. Her favorite pastime was spending time and loving on grandkids and great- grandkids.

Donna is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Elmer R. Campbell, daughters, Tammy Pruitt of Greendale, IN, Lyn (Troy) Uhlman of Lawrenceburg, IN, Dawn (Bryan) Wentz of Noblesville, IN; four siblings, Sandra Phiester of Lawrenceburg, IN, Dicky Hopper of Lawrenceburg, IN, Pastor Kenny (Dolly) Hopper of Aurora, IN, and Martha Burris of Aurora, IN; Grandchildren, Brandon Campbell, Paul Malicoat III, Nesha Uhlman, Kristin Wentz. Jordon Pruitt, and Karen Wentz; step grandchildren, Derek Uhlman & Tiffani Floyd and 8 great-grandkids.
She was preceded in death by Father, William Nathan Hopper; Mother, Mary Ruth Hopper; siblings, Joyce Hopkins and Dale Hopper.

Friends will be received Friday, July 8, 2022, 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm at the Aurora Life Church, 201 W. Conwell St., Aurora, IN.

Services will be held at the Church, Saturday at 11:00 am with Pastor Dean Greenwood officiating.

Interment will follow in the Mt. Sinai Cemetery, Aurora, Indiana.
