Donna J. Wallpe, age 63 of Batesville, died Friday, August 25, 2017 at her home. Born December 24, 1953 in Batesville, she is the daughter of Joy (Nee: Stille) and George Hillman Jr. She married Dennis Wallpe May 20, 1978, at St. Louis Church. Donna worked as a data manager for the Romweber Company and Office Manager at Heartwood Manufacturing before retiring.
Each year she looked forward to the annual trips to Shipshewana in Northern Indiana with her friend Carolyn. An avid reader, Donna especially liked biographies and she also loved watching all the old shows she grew up with on MeTV.
She is survived by her husband Dennis; father George “Buck” Hillman Jr. of Batesville, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her mother Joy. Visitation is Tuesday, August 29th, from 10 – 11:30 a.m. and funeral services follow at 11:30 a.m., all at the Weigel Funeral Home, with Rev. Stan Pondo officiating. Burial will be in St. Louis Cemetery. The family requests memorials to the Alzheimer’s Association.
