Displaced Sunman residents need your help

Sunman, In. — Four families forced to leave a Sunman area apartment are looking for alternate accommodations. The families are cleared to stay in a Batesville area motel at least until Friday. Any individual, church or civic organization that can provide help is asked to call Brandy Graham with the Southern Indiana Red Cross at 812-265-3818.

A total of 16 people were moved to the motel after an investigation into a possible electrical fire Saturday just after midnight. During that investigation Sunman Rural Fire Department chief Bill Craig says several other life safety violations were discovered. The violations made it impossible to allow the residents back into the two-story wood-framed structure.
