(Decatur County, IN) – The Decatur County Sheriff’s Office reports multiple fraud attempts by someone impersonating a deputy.
The person identifies themselves as “Sgt. William Hall” and tries to force residents into paying a bond or inmate fees through Walmart or a phone app.
The Sheriff’s Office says he is not a deputy and is not affiliated with the agency in any capacity.
