(Greensburg, IN) – Decatur County Memorial Hospital (DCMH) hosted its annual Holiday Lane celebration last Friday on the DCMH Walking Trail, where over 700 people braved the chilly temperatures and some snow to spread holiday cheer and celebrate together while visiting 21 stops along the stroll.

Attendees enjoyed an array of holiday treats and activities, including a twinkling light-up toy wand, a warm beanie, photos with Santa and his reindeer, seasonal inflatable characters, and a custom hot chocolate bar with a build-a-cookie experience.

Many DCMH departments joined in, including Cancer Care & Infusion Services, Dietary, Emergency Department, Emergency Medical Services (EMS), Environmental Services, Family Medicine Practices, Hospital Foundation of Decatur County, Immediate Care Clinic, Maintenance, Marketing, Med/Surg, Outpatient Clinic, Pain Management, Radiology, Rehabilitation Services, Senior Life Solutions, and Women’s Center.

Additionally, several community partners helped the hospital kick off the holiday season.

“DCMH has proudly hosted a number of inspiring community events this year, and we’re thankful to spread some holiday cheer with this event,” said Rex McKinney, CEO/President. “Our team is sincerely grateful for the ongoing support from our community.”

“Seeing our families, friends, and neighbors come together, bundled up and smiling, reminds us why we do this each year,” said Liz McCoy, Marketing and Communications Manager. “Holiday
Lane is one of our favorite ways of giving back, creating simple moments of joy, and celebrating community.”
