Daryl M. Gutzwiller

Daryl M. Gutzwiller, of Milan, was born on March 14, 1950 in Batesville, Indiana, the son of Eugene and Marian Mallory Gutzwiller.  He married Kathy S. Crane on March 12, 2011 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Milan and she survives.  Daryl served his country in the National Guard as an engineer; was a union carpenter and worked for and retired from Fernald.  He was a Master Mason of the Sunman Lodge #590, a member and secretary of the Carpenters Union, a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Milan and a member of the Hoosier Hills Car Club.  Daryl loved classic cars, was a gun collector, enjoyed gardening and was an avid hunter and outdoorsman.  On Saturday, March 4, 2017 at the age of 66, Daryl passed away at his residence. 

 

Those surviving who will cherish Daryl’s memory include his wife, Kathy S. Gutzwiller; children, Daric (Amanda) Gutzwiller of Copper Mountain, CO, Sofia (Garrett) Collier of Frenchburg, KY, and Dedric Gutzwiller of Milan; step-children, Denise (Mark) Adkins of Burlington, KY, Gary (Angie) Hunt of Demossville, KY, and Tatia (John) Moore of Taylor Mill, KY; 6 grandchildren, Harley Combs, Zhayda Collier, Ayden Collier, Aramis Collier, Amelia Gutzwiller, and Serena Gutzwiller; 4 step-grandchildren, Kelsey Adkins, Brooklyn Adkins, Kylee Hunt and Tanner Hunt.  Also surviving are brothers, David (Sammi Ann) Gutzwiller, Daniel (Patty) Gutzwiller, Denton (Betsy) Gutzwiller and William (Louise) Gutzwiller; 2 brothers-in-law, Gary (Bev) Crane, and Ricky (Stephanie) Crane, sister-in-law, Sharon (Carl) Bischoff, and many nieces, nephews, family and friends that were loved. 

 

Friends may visit with the family on Friday, March 10 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Cook Rosenberger Funeral Home, 107 Vine Street, Sunman.  Pastor Susan Socha will officiate the funeral service on Saturday at 11 a.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Milan.  Cremation will follow.
