Danny L. Calihan, age 67, of Blooming Grove Township, Franklin County died suddenly, Sunday, January 17, 2016 in the Emergency Room at Fayette Regional Health System in Connersville, Indiana.

Born August 14, 1948 in Whitesburg, Kentucky he was the son of the late James & Wanda (Hogg) Calihan. On May 25, 1986 he was united in marriage to the love of his life, Peggy Doerflein, and she survives.

Danny retired from the former Visteon in Connersville in 2005, and then went to work for A & R Security at J & J Packaging where he worked as a supervisor until his passing.

He was a member of the Scipio United Baptist Church, and had attended the Blooming Grove Family Worship Church. He was also a member of the Connersville Gun Club. A dedicated family man, his leisure time was spent enjoying the company of his grandchildren friends and extended family.

Besides Peggy, his loving wife of 30 years, survivors include two daughters, Tina Calihan of Hamilton, Ohio and Gina (Britt) Davidson of Brookville, Indiana, a granddaughter, Sierra Davidson; and later in life he became a father to Cheyenne & McKenzie Williams, and grandfather to Tristen & Jayden. He will also be missed by his sisters, Cora (Jerry) Wells of Guilford, Indiana and Karen (Raymond) Clark of West Harrison, Indiana, as well as many nieces & nephews whom he loved dearly.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Devon C. Bader.

Family & friends may visit from 9:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. on Friday, January 22, 2016 at Phillips & Meyers Funeral Home, 1025 Franklin Avenue, Brookville.

Pastor Tom Marshall of the Blooming Grove Family Worship Church will officiate the Funeral Services at 11:00 A.M., Friday, January 22, 2016 at Phillips & Meyers Funeral Home in Brookville. Burial will follow in Scipio Cemetery in Morgan Township, Ohio.
