Dana Ray Chatham, 69 of Milan, passed away Wednesday August 2, 2017 at Christ Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio. Dana was born Monday August 18, 1947 in Aurora, IN, the son of Dana H. and Reva (Martin) Chatham. He married Loretta Sue (Fields) Chatham February 5, 1973 and she preceded him in death October 23, 2013.
He was a veteran of the Vietnam War serving in the Navy. He was a member of Milan First Baptist Church and Milan American Legion Post #235. Dana worked at Sun Chemical in Cincinnati. He enjoyed gardening, going to auctions, hunting, fishing, loved his dogs, and spoiling the grandchildren.
Dana is survived by son: D. Wade (Melissa) Chatham of Milan; daughters: Marla Blum of Milan; Vanessa (Fred) Poore of Milan. Step-father: Kenneth Bear of Lawton, OK; brothers: Dennis of CA; Lloyd and Charles both of Texas. sisters: Marie of CA; Selina of TX; Susan of Milan; Mary Ann of Texas; Margaret of Sunman; Pat of Texas. 3 Grandchildren: Corwin Blum of Montana, Carly Blum of Michigan and Delanie Weber. Sisters-in law: Frieda Knight and Audrey Fields. Many nieces and nephews. Special niece: Angela (Steve) Doll. Preceded in death was his parents, wife, step-mother: Dorothy Chatham, one brother: Elvin, sisters: Jean, Dorothy, Helen.
Funeral services will be at 4PM on Saturday August 5, 2017 at Milan First Baptist Church with Pastor Harris Long officiating. Burial with military rites will follow in German Lutheran Cemetery north of Milan. Visitation will be Saturday 2-4PM also at the church.
