
(Penntown, IN) – Several departments battled a house fire along with below freezing temperatures Tuesday morning on the 9,000 block of E. State Road 46 in Penntown.
The initial call went out around 8:00.
There were no injuries reported.
The cause and a damage estimate were not listed.
State Road 46 around Penntown Road was closed for several hours during and after firefighting efforts.
The Sunman Rural Fire Dept. received assistance from Batesville Fire and Rescue, the Morris, St. Leon, Milan and Manchester Township volunteer fire departments, the Ripley County Sheriff’s Office and Sunman Rescue 20.
Also helping with efforts were Ripley County 911 Dispatch, the State Fire Marshals Office, the Red Cross and INDOT.
