(Batesville, IN) – Liberty Park came alive with curiosity and hands-on learning as young minds from across the region gathered for STEAM at the Park, a two-day educational adventure held June 30 and July 1.

Campers teamed up with the Kids Discovery Factory (KDF) staff for two exciting mornings packed with engaging science, technology, engineering, art, and math (STEAM) activities.

Campers explored a wide variety of stations and challenges including creating their own tie-dyed Camp Shirt.

Curated activities included building their own Marble Racetracks, celebrating the 4th early by creating Firework Salt Art, and creating the power of flight with Stomp Rockets.

This energizing camp experience was made possible through generous grant funding from Duke Energy, whose support helps fuel learning opportunities and creativity in Southeastern Indiana’s youth.

“We love seeing kids light up with excitement when they learn something new or build something that works,” said Vanessa Beetz, Program Director for KDF. “STEAM at the Park gives kids the tools and freedom to experiment, problem-solve, and imagine what’s possible.”
