Batesville, IN —New Horizons hopes to open Sweets at Liberty Park by the end of this month, with a limited menu and volunteer staff until mid-September. Their plan is to then open with a full menu in 2021, with their clients working and job shadowing, as well as gaining valuable job training, social skills, and critical thinking skills needed after high school.
The renovations are almost complete on the old building that sat empty for many years at the park. New Horizons raised all the funding needed for the renovations and the building now has new life.
But due to the virus, some funding has fallen through and budgets have taken a hit, leaving them. New Horizons needs $40k more in donations to purchase the equipment, supplies, and other materials needed to open Sweets at Liberty Park full time in 2021.
If you would like to consider donating, any amount will be greatly appreciated. You can donate by clicking here, mail in a donation, or drop a donation off at New Horizons located at 237 Six Pine Ranch Road, Batesville, IN
