BATESVILLE, IN — The latest in a series of art projects in downtown Batesville is complete.
Local artists Chaz Kaiser and Andrea Grimsley finished work this week on the Hillrom Training Center Clock Tower project on Main Street.
The mural can be seen on the Clock Tower from all four directions and is part of the HeART and Sole of Downtown Batesville project.
Last Friday, a ribbon-cutting ceremony was held for “A Tale of Our Town,” a mural on Walnut Street near the intersection with George Street depicting past and present representations of Batesville. That mural was completed by Colorado-based artist Yulia Avgustinovich.
Both of these public art installations are part of the National Endowment for the Arts-Our Town Grant, which was awarded in 2018 following a collaboration between the Batesville Area Arts Council and Batesville Main Street.
