Claudine Mae Rader, age 85, of Mt. Carmel, Indiana died Saturday, February 24, 2018 at Ft. Hamilton Hospital in Hamilton, Ohio.
Born September 16, 1932 in Sweet Springs, West Virginia she was the daughter of the late Raymond O. & Ruby F. (Carper) Arthur. She was united in marriage to Arnold Rader and he preceded her in death in 1972.
Claudine was retired from Sperry Rubber & Plastics in Brookville where she worked as a Quality Control inspector for 29 years.
She was a member of the Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church, the United Methodist Women; Brookville Kiwanis Club, Franklin County Republican Womens Club; the Red Hats Club; Franklin County Farm Bureau; American Legion Ladies Auxiliary; the Springfield Township Womens Club; served on the Mt. Carmel Cemetery Board; the Franklin County Board of Elections; the Franklin County United Way; Franklin County Relay for Life, as well as volunteering for over 28 years with Franklin County E.M.S.. In her leisure time she enjoyed crocheting, flower gardening, traveling, and cooking, with home made apple butter being one of her specialties.
Survivors include seven children; Cheryl Rader of Brookville, Indiana; Darrell (Wanda) Rader of Roachdale, Indiana, Deborah Rader of Brookville, Indiana Karen (Mick) Davis of Hamilton, Ohio, Arnold (Anne) Rader of Laurel, Indiana, Arlene Rader (Larry Perkins) of Brookville, Indiana, and Loren (Cindy) Rader of Brookville, Indiana; four sisters; Geraldine Park of Cardington, Ohio, Sandra Martin of Marengo, Ohio, Linda Jewell of Leesburg, Florida, Mary Arthur of Leesburg, Florida; three brothers; Burvie Arthur of Berryville, Virginia, Raymond Arthur of Eaton, Ohio and Bill Arthur of Cedar Grove, Indiana; 16 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; as well as many nieces & nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, Arnold, she was preceded in death by two grandchildren, Stephanie Rader and Jennifer Rader; and a great-grandson, Trevor Ison.
Family & friends may visit from 10:00 A.M. until 12:00 Noon on Wednesday, February 28, 2018 at Phillips & Meyers Funeral Home, 1025 Franklin Avenue, Brookville.
Ron Wylie Jr. & Greg Pepper will officiate the Funeral Services at 12:00 Noon on Wednesday, February 28, 2018 at Phillips & Meyers Funeral Home. Burial will then follow in Mt. Carmel Cemetery.
