Clare L. Walter, age 93, of Cedar Grove, Indiana died Wednesday, March 30, 2016 at her residence.
Born October 23, 1922 in Cincinnati, Ohio she was the daughter of the late Archibald J. & Bertha H. (Briede) Pfeiffer.
She was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church and had been a member of the former Holy Guardian Angels Parish in Cedar Grove, Indiana.
Survivors include three daughters, Karen (Bill) Perusek of Wickliffe, Ohio, Teresa (Tom) Mohl of Crescent Springs, Kentucky and Kathi (Tim) Bradley of Metamora, Michigan; one son, Dennis (Kathy) Quinn of Anderson Township, Ohio; six step-children, Paula Eggleston of Harrison, Ohio, Marcia (Tim) Metz of Cedar Grove, Indiana, Brenda (Jim) Leonard of Cleves, Ohio, Andrea (Frank) Stewart of Wilmington, Ohio, Neil (Lisa) Walter of Rising Sun, Indiana and Adam (Amy) Walter of Mason, Ohio; 27 grandchildren, as well as 26 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband, Thomas Quinn who died in 1954, as well as her second husband, Robert Walter who died in 2014; a grandson, Matthew Quinn, and two brothers, Richard Pfeiffer and Jack Pfeiffer, and a step-son, Joseph Walter.
Family & friends may visit from 5 until 8:00 P.M. on Thursday, March 31, 2016 at Phillips & Meyers Funeral Home, 1025 Franklin Avenue, Brookville, where the rosary will be recited at 7:30 P.M..
The Very Rev. Sean Danda will officiate the Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, April 1, 2016, 10:30 A.M., at Holy Guardian Angels Chapel, 405 U.S. Highway 52, Cedar Grove, Indiana. Burial will follow in St. Joseph New Cemetery, 4500 Foley Road Cincinnati, Ohio.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the Guardian Angels Cemetery Fund or Hospice of Margaret Mary Community Hospital.
