Batesville, In. — Batesville city council has awarded $2,400 in Belterra funds to Cierra’s Club to help market Fear Factory. The Herbert Brothers will produce a commercial that will run for three months in the following theaters:
- Gibson Theater- Batesville
- Damn Theater- Osgood
- Wolf Theater- Greensburg
- Greendale Cinema & Lawrenceburg
Organizers say they can reach more than 110,000 within a 31-mile radius of Batesville with the marketing effort.
Recent reports have placed the Halloween industry second only to Christmas with $9 billion in annual revenue. The report says haunted houses alone generate more $300 million nationwide every year.
Cierra’s Club was formed in 2011 following the overdose death of Cierra Adams on her 18th birthday. In October of 2011 Fear Factory started as a 5,000-square foot attraction and has grown to more than 40,000-square feet. Fear Factory has also been named the “Best Haunted House” in Indiana by Cosmopolitan, Only in Your State/Indiana and Indiana Haunted Houses.
In 2018 more than 3,000 people visited the Fear Factory over Halloween.
