Christmas Day Rollover Crash

NOBLESVILLE, Ind. — A Christmas Day crash in Noblesville left a woman critically injured and a 21-year-old man from Anderson under arrest after police say his pickup truck ran off the road and rolled over.

The single-vehicle crash happened Christmas Day when the driver lost control of the truck, causing it to leave the roadway and overturn, according to police. The passenger, a 36-year-old woman from Anderson, was critically injured and taken to the hospital for treatment.

The driver was taken into custody at the scene and arrested on preliminary charges of operating a vehicle while intoxicated. Investigators believe impairment was a factor in the crash, though the incident remains under investigation.

Authorities have not released the names of those involved, and no additional information about the woman’s condition was immediately available. Police have also not announced whether further charges could be filed.

Law enforcement officials continue to warn drivers about the dangers of impaired driving, particularly during the holiday season, when crashes linked to alcohol and drugs tend to increase.
