Chester “Chet” Weckop, 82, of Greesburg passed away on December 31, 2019. He was born on July 23, 1937 in Arlington, MN, the son of Joseph and Clara Myer Weckop. Chet was a 1955 graduate of Arlington High School. He served in the United States Navy. On August 11, 1956 in Arlington, Minnesota he married Joan Ruth Ruschky, and together they had four children: Nate, Mitch, Tracy and Mark. Chet was a manager at Sears in Greensburg. He was a member of the Kiwanis. Chet was a very active member of the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, and was on the committee to build the current church building.
Survivors include: Daughter, Tracy James of Hattiesburg, MS; Sons, Nate (Deanie) Weckop of Greensburg, Mitch (Diane) Weckop of Green Bay, WI, and Mark Weckop of Greensburg; Sister, Donalean Harris of Badgely, WI; Seven Grandchildren, JD Crook, Amanda Weckop, Paul Weckop, Jonathan Woods, Anna Grace Woods, Tori Reid, Tia Simpson and Chris Hoover; Great Grandchildren, Jay Crook, Cooper Crook and Patrick Weckop. Chet was preceded in death by his Parents; Wife, Joan Weckop; and Brother, Donald “Butch” Weckop.

A visitation for family and friends will be held at the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church on Saturday, January 3, 2020 from 11:00 am until the time of the Funeral at 12:00 noon. Rev.
