Chase McMeans

Donald Chase McMeans, 39, of Versailles passed away Sunday, September 11, 2016 near Versailles. He was born at Lampasas, Texas on January 16, 1977 the son of Donald and Darla Hinds Clark. He was married to De Ann Webb on December 19, 1998 and she survives. Other survivors include his mother Darla Clark of Burnet, Texas; his son Chance McMeans and daughter Peyton McMeans both at home; father and mother-in-law Ed and Marilyn Webb of Correct; two brothers Michael (Tiffany) Clark of Burnet, Texas and David (Stephanie) Clark of Temple, Texas; two sisters Misty Lewis and Kaitlin Clark both of Burnet, Texas, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father. Mr. McMeans had earned an Associate’s degree in accounting and was currently working as an electrician with the IBEW Local 71. In his spare time Chase enjoyed hunting and fishing. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, September 20th at 7pm at the Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 6pm. Memorials may be given to the Bridge of Hope Youth Group in care of the funeral home. Also, a fund for the McMeans children has been established at Fifth-Third Bank.
