Catherine “Sue” (Manuel) Bruce, age 63, of Vevay, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, August 24, 2021, at her residence. Sue entered this life on May 22, 1958 in Madison, Indiana. She was the daughter of the late, Charles Edward “Chuck” and Marjorie Mae (Hinman) Manuel. She was raised in Bennington, Indiana and was a 1976 graduate of the Switzerland County High School. In 1991, Sue was united in marriage to Jean Dean Bruce and this union was blessed with a son, Wesley. Sue was employed for the US Shoe Factory in Vevay, Indiana for 10 years. She later worked in tobacco for Chester Meisberger for several years. Sue also cleaned for several years for various businesses in Vevay and for the Switzerland County School Corporation. Sue enjoyed mowing, working, fishing and farming. Above all, Sue loved spending time with her family and hosting family night every Saturday where she enjoyed cooking a spread of food and playing euchre and sports.
Sue leaves to cherish her memory her son, Wesley Bruce and his companion, Natalie Fennig of Madison, IN; her brother, Rodney Lee Manuel of East Enterprise, IN; her nieces, Leslie Nicole Manuel and Amanda Mae Manuel; her aunt, Ruth Shadday of Vevay, IN, Thelma Laird and several cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles Edward “Chuck” and Marjorie Mae (Hinman) Manuel and her grandson, Weston Fennig.
