Carol L. Cummings, 72, of Milan, passed away Tuesday, March 9, 2021 at Margaret Mary Hospital in Batesville, Indiana. She was born on Tuesday, December 7, 1948 in Cincinnati, Ohio to Carl Cooper and Betty (Inman) Cooper. Carol went on to marry Thomas “Tom” Cummings on Saturday, March 24, 1973 and he survives. She spent many years working in customer service for Defender Direct and was a devoted member of Sunman Community Church. Carol was also a past member of Eastern Star and Leisure Ladies. In her free time, Carol enjoyed coloring, reading, and spending time with her family. She will always be remembered for her scrapbooks and her angel collection.
Carol is survived by her husband Tom Cummings, of Milan; son James Cummings of Dayton, Ohio; daughter Jodi Cummings of Milan; brothers Buford Cooper (Rita) of Sunman and Boyd Cooper (Janet) of Bright; sisters Letha Dell of Cross Plains and Barb Olive (Terry) of Sunman; and many nieces and nephews who Carol loved deeply.
Family and friends may gather to remember Carol on Friday, March 12, 2021 at Sunman Community Church, 304 West Vine Street, Sunman, Indiana 47041 from 10 AM to 12 PM. A service will be held at 12 PM with Pastor Adam Boeskin officiating. Burial will follow immediately after at St. Paul Methodist Cemetery, 8930 State Route 101, Sunman, Indiana 47041.
