Carolyn “Carol” Curran 73, of Versailles passed away on Wednesday, October 23, 2024 at the Margaret Mary Community Hospital in Batesville. She was born in Cincinnati on June 28, 1951, the daughter of Robert E. and Willie Jean Mathis Hendricks. She married James “Jimmie” Curran on August 8, 1970. Survivors include her husband of 53 years, her daughter; Stacy (Patrick) Land of Greensburg, brother Anthony (Theresa) Range of Batavia, Ohio, sister Mary (Don) Seifert of Cold Spring, Kentucky: Grandsons Patrick II, Curtis, and Justin Land, 11 great grandchildren, half-sisters; Sharon Roark, Dianne McKinney, Patti Fricke and Pam Hendricks. She was preceded in death by her parents. Carol was a former employee of Verdis in Batesville, and loved being a stay-at-home mother. Funeral services will be Wednesday, October 30, 2024 at 3pm at the Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home in Versailles with Randy Thieman officiating. Burial will be in the Cliff Hill Cemetery in Versailles. Visitation will also be on Wednesday beginning at 2p.m. Memorials may be given to the donor’s choice in care of the funeral home.
