Cardinals Hoops Results

The Cardinals 8th Grade Boy’s Basketball team took on Sunman Dearborn on Thursday, January 7th.  The Trojans ended up beating the Cardinals by a final score of 69-18. 

The Boys were short-handed, but didn’t let that be a reason to quit or give up.  The Cardinals were led by Sam Laloge who finished with 5 points, 5 rebounds, and 3 blocks.  Max Amberger scored 4 points, had 4 rebounds, and 1 assist.  Ryan Duerstock finished the game with 2 points and 2 rebounds.  Sully Hill led the team in steals with 2. 

Thank you to the following 7th-Grade players for participating:  Noah Livers, Jack Freeland, Ben Griewe, Caleb Mohr (5 points), Jaiden Kuria (2 points), Sam Richardson, and Tyler Reder. 

The Cardinals next game is Monday, January 11th when they are home for 8th Grade Night to take on the Saints from St. Nicholas.  

The Cardinals from St. Louis traveled to Lawrenceburg to take on the Greendale Tigers on Tuesday, January 5th.  The Cardinals, playing with just 6 boys, never gave up and kept fighting until the final buzzer.  Despite their efforts, they ended up losing by a final score of 60-17.     

The Cardinals were led in scoring by Adam Meer with 5 points, followed by Sam Laloge and Max Amberger with 4 points, and Santiago Schutte and Ryan Duerstock with 2 points.  Meer paced the Cardinals with 7 rebounds followed by Laloge with 5 and Amberger with 4.  Laloge also led the team with 3 blocks.     

The Cardinals play again on Thursday, January 7th when they will visit the Trojans from Sunman-Dearborn.
