Bulldogs Middle Schoolers Get ‘W’s’ Over Lions

batesville-bulldogsAfter falling to Benjamin Rush Middle School in December, The 7th grade Batesville Middle School Boys Basketball Team defeated them Tuesday night by a score of 50 to 45.

Leading is scoring for Batesville Travis Lecher with 13 points. He was followed by Cole werner with 10, Ean Loichinger with 9 and Eli Pierson with 7. Also adding to the total were Cooper Wilhelm with 4, Pros Moorman with 3 and Hunter Laudick and Zach Wade with 2 each. Defensively for the Dogs, Eli Pierson led the way with 5 steals and Cole Werner with 4.

The 7th grade dogs are now 10 and 6 on the season. They will start tournament play on Monday against Greendale.

The 8th grade Bulldogs improved to 12-5 with a win over Benjamin Rush 46-38.

Leading the scoring for the dogs was Trey Peters with 13. Pros Moorman added 12 followed by RJ Powell and Mason Barker with 7 and 6 respectively. Alex Siefert had 5. Jaden Peetz had 2, and Nathan Villani added a free throw. Not scoring, but adding some big rebounds were Ethan Brewer and Austin Cornn. All the Bulldogs played great defense causing several deflections and turnovers.
