The Freshman Bulldogs bounced back from their weekend losses with a victory against Jennings County Monday night 46-33.
Batesville had a strong first half, which helped them get out to an early lead, and they never looked back. At the end of the 1st quarter, the Bulldogs were ahead 17-11. Batesville shot the three ball well, connecting on six 3-pointers in the first half and a total of seven for the game. At halftime, the Bulldogs were ahead 36-24.
The offense didn’t come out quite as hot in the 3rd, but the Bulldogs ended the 3rd quarter with a 41-30 lead, and a final score of 46-33 over Jennings County.
The Bulldogs had a great team effort in the win. They were led by Charlie Dice and John Thompson in scoring. Both players each had 13. Bill Lynam added 7, Seth Gausman and Cory Ralston each had 5, Brayden Linkel had 2, and Hank Nobbe added 1.
Next up for the Bulldogs is the Batesville Invitational on Saturday.
