The Batesville Bulldogs 5th Grade basketball team traveled to Greenfield on Saturday, December 28th to participate in the Holiday Shootout and came away with a 4th place finish out of 8 teams. In game one the squad defeated Avon 26-14. In the semi-final contest the Bulldogs fell to the eventual champion Greenfield 46-20 and dropped the 3rd place contest to New Palestine 50-36. In what was a great experience for the young ballers, the team was led in scoring on the day by Cayden Drake who tallied 26 points in the 3 contests, William Kuisel 16, Brayden Maple 12, Owen Enneking 10, Jaiden Kuria 78, Caleb Mohr 6, while Ethan Schneider and Trenton Jordan each added 2.
The team (18-3) will next be in action this Sunday, January 6th when they travel to Rushville High School for a rematch against Greenfield at 1:00 and face off with New Castle at 3:00. Go Bulldogs!!
