One night after suffering a heartbreaking loss to Connersville, the Batesville Middle School 7th grade boys were able to regroup and get a good victory over North Decatur on Tuesday night. The Bulldogs came out focused and ready to take care of business, as they defeated the Chargers 38 to 29.
Batesville jumped out to a 22 point lead in the 3rd quarter and was able to hold off a late surge in the 4th quarter by North Decatur, hanging on for a nine point victory. Batesville was led by Calvin Sherwood with 12 points, RJ Powell with 8 points, Pros Moorman with 5 points, Ethan Brewer with 4 points, Matthew Meyer with 3 points, and Trey Peters, Alex Siefert and Damon Grieshop each scored 2 points.
Batesville will be back in action on Thursday night when they take on the Bengals of Greendale Middle School at Greendale at 5:30.
