The Batesville High School Wrestling team continued their season hosting EIAC rivals Franklin County Saturday morning. Despite both teams trading forfeits the Bulldogs fell short 45-27.
Five Bulldogs were able to pick up victories. Sophomore Alex Murphy received a forfeit while senior Axel Garcia won by decision. Senior JT Linkel and Sophomores Josh Mobley and Christian Garcia were able to get pinfall victories. Giving up more forfeits and losing close matches led to a defeat for the bulldogs.
Batesville will continue their season traveling to Centerville Friday and Saturday for a two-day dual invitational.
