n a tightly contested Sectional 45 Championship game, Brownstown Central was able to pull away late, defeating South Ripley by 6 points. Throughout most of the game, the teams remained within a 6-point margin, but Brownstown Central’s strong finish sealed their victory.
Several milestones were reached during the sectional tournament, showcasing the individual achievements of South Ripley players.
- Katie Miller reached 100 career points.
- Claire Samples recorded 100 assists and also broke a South Ripley single-season record for steals (details to be released at a later time).
- Lexi Franklin achieved the 400 career rebound milestone.
- Kaiya Rinear surpassed 700 career rebounds.
In recognition of their outstanding performances, Claire Samples, Lexi Franklin, and Kaiya Rinear were named to the All-Sectional Team.
