Brenda Kay Leach, age 76, formerly of Osgood, passed away Tuesday, August 15, 2017 at Pristine Sr. Living of Riverview in Cincinnati, Ohio. You might remember seeing Brenda sitting on the front porch of the home on the south side of the Osgood Methodist Church, totally enjoying smoking her cigarette and her late loving companion, Kenny White reading his newspaper! They moved there during the early 1980’s and would live there for nearly 30 years before Kenny passed away and shortly thereafter, Brenda moved to Cincinnati due to poor health and putting her closer to her daughter Connie. Another place that you may have seen her, was the Osgood Grub Company enjoying the food and the people!
Brenda was born June 4, 1941 in Bracken County, Kentucky to the late Donald E. and Ora Bell Hook. She has three daughters that survive, Cathy J.(Chip) Scroggs of Cincinnati, Marsha K. (Jeff) Mersch of Holton and Connie S. Schinaman of Cincinnati. Also surviving is one sister, Debbie Hook of Greensburg, six grandchildren and six great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Ronnie and Phil Hook and one sister Sylvia Hook.
Brenda loved doing all kinds of crafts, some of which were making jewelry, doing stained glass work and framing puzzles that she had put together. She will be sadly missed by her family.
Services will be held all in one day Friday, August 18, 2017. Viewing will be from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at which that time the funeral services will start. Memorials may go to the Greendale Cemetery. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
