(Batesville, IN) – Batesville Primary School (BPS) will again have registration for the Mandarin Dual Language Immersion (DLI) program offered to incoming kindergartners for the 2026-2027 school year, according to BPS principal Brad Stoneking.
Kindergartners enrolling at BPS for the ’26-27 school year have the option to participate in a Mandarin Dual Language Immersion program. Batesville Primary School will offer a prospective parent information session on Thursday, April 9 at 6:30 p.m. in the BPS cafeteria.
Families should park in the west side lot and enter the cafeteria doors (Door F). Online registration will open during the prospective parent meeting and will remain open until Friday, April 24.
The school says families who have had a child participate in the current DLI model are not required to attend the parent meeting but are required to register that evening.
All incoming DLI students will still be required to attend the kindergarten registration and academic screening on April 16.
The program consists of at least 22 students enrolled in one classroom taught by a Mandarin-speaking licensed elementary teacher.
