Boys golf recaps; Batesville wins Ripley County Tourney

The following are high school boys golf recaps from Monday, April 25.  There may be updates, so please check back.

Batesville won the Boys Ripley County Golf Tournament shooting 180 on the Meadow Course at North Branch.  Jac-Cen-Del was second with 216 and Milan came in third with 223.  South Ripley competed but did not have a full squad.

The Indians Jackson Voss earned All-County MVP honors posting a seven-over 43.  The other four All-County spots went to Bulldogs.  Jackson Wanstrath and Leo Moody both logged 44s while 46s were carded by both Jackson Day and Henry Koehne.

Also of note, Sam Schwering was low for the Eagles netting 48 while the Raiders Eli Liming shot a team-low and season best 61.

In a dual match at Butler Falls, Switzerland County bested Southwestern Hanover 191-225.

The Pacers Bryce Wrightsman was medalist with a 45 and Jacob Williams followed with 46.  The Rebels were led by Blake Boley with a 49.

Switzerland County- Evan Bosaw 48, Adrian Armstrong 52, Sam Schroer 52, Aidan Ferrari 53 and Braden Allen 54.

Southwestern- Matt Mingione 54, Adam Boley 54 adn Wyatt Barker 68.

Greensburg was a 157-203 winner over South Dearborn at the Greensburg Country Club.  Parker Phillips of the Pirates was medalist with a 37.  Eli Hoffman led the Knights with 40.

Greensburg- Schroeder 39, Springmeyer 40, Tebbe 41 and McKinsey 41.

South Dearborn- Brady Roberts 51, Grant Holloway 55 and Jake Daugherty 57.

At the junior high level, Batesville Middle won at North Branch with a 181, St. Louis shot 217 and North Decatur posted 234.

Co-medalist honors went to the Bulldogs Landon Raver, Cooper Phebus and Ian Hixon who all carded 45s.  It was a personal best for Hixon.  Augie Hillenbrand led the Cardinals with 46 and Scott Morford logged 57 to pace the Chargers.
