Beulah Mae (Fauss) Sammons

Beulah Mae (Fauss) Sammons, 88, of Aurora, Indiana, peacefully entered into eternal life on Tuesday, July 12, 2022, surrounded by her family.

She was born March 15, 1934 in her families home on Cole Lane, Aurora, Indiana to the late William Arthur Fauss and Laura (Trester) Fauss. At age 5 she and her family moved to Market Street in Aurora, where she lived until she married the late Lawrence Edward “Sam” Sammons, the love of her life, in March 1958. She attended the Southside School from kindergarten until sixth grade and graduated from Aurora High School in 1952. While in school she worked at the Corner Market (Tandy’s IGA) in Aurora. After high school she went to work for Southern Indiana Phone Company (which became United Telephone and is now known as Century Link), as an operator. She retired in 1982 after 30 years of service. After being retired for a few years she went to work at Dairy Boat in Lawrenceburg and later worked at Wal Mart until she retired again in 2001.

Beulah enjoyed family gatherings, luncheons with close friends, traveling, working in her flower beds and visiting with her neighbors on her porch. She also loved to bake, and she made the best lemon bars around.

Beulah is survived by her nephew in law, Ivan Chipman; great nieces, Betty Ann (Kevin) Schwab, Sandy (Mark) Verdon, Karen (Rodney) Steiner; sister in law, Carol Fauss; nephew, Nicholas Fauss and also several great, great, and great, great, great nieces and nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by parents, Laura and William; husband, Lawrence Edward “Sam” Sammons; siblings, Melvin Fauss, Geraldine Cochran, Josephine Moore; niece, Betty Chipman and nephew, Jackie Green.

Friends will be received Sunday, July 17, 2022 from 4-7 pm at the Rullman Hunger Funeral Home.

Services will be held at the funeral home on Monday at 11:00 am.

Interment will follow in the River View Cemetery, Aurora, Indiana.
