Beulah B. Cummins, age 86, of Brookville, Indiana died early Sunday morning November 12, 2017 at her residence in Brookville.
Born March 24, 1931 in Franklin County, Indiana she was the daughter of the late William & Rosabelle (McIntosh) Fox. On March 28, 1950 she was united in marriage to Paul G. Cummins, and he preceded her in death in 2008.
Mrs. Cummins worked at the former Brookville Casket Company, Square D in Oxford, and had been a chef at Holiday Inn. She was also very well known for gardening and raising strawberries which she sold throughout the area, with many folks affectionately calling her the “Strawberry Lady”. In her leisure time she enjoyed the outdoors, with mushroom hunting and fishing being favorite activities.
Survivors include four children, Ronnie Cummins of Brookville, Indiana, LaVonne Wyatt of Sunman, Indiana, Donna Alianell of Oldsmar, Florida and Harold Cummins of Brookville, Indiana; 14 Grandchildren, as well as many great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, Paul, she was preceded in death by 11 brothers & sisters.
Family & friends may visit from 4 until 7:00 P.M. on Thursday, November 16, 2017 at Phillips & Meyers Funeral Home, 1025 Franklin Avenue, Brookville.
Kevin Noah will officiate the Funeral Services on Friday, November 17, 2017, 11:00 A.M., at Phillips & Meyers Funeral Home, burial will then follow in Big Cedar Cemetery in Brookville.
