Betty Jean Wilson, 83

Betty Jean Wilson, 83, Milford, passed away on Saturday, August 4, 2018 at Ashford Place in Shelbyville.  Born, November 11, 1934 in St. Paul, Indiana, she was the daughter of George and Rosa (Neukam) Gray.  Betty graduated in 1952 from St. Paul High School.  Betty worked for many years in factories, including Greensburg Sewing Factory and Arvin Industries.  She attended Indiana Business College in 1964 and then began a career in clerical work, working at Burney High School, REMC, Mitchell Industries, General Electric, and she retired from Wellman Industries.  Betty enjoyed bowling, traveling to Las Vegas to see Wayne Newton, and watching golf and bowling on the television.  She was a member of the Burney Baptist Church and a 50 year member of the Eastern Star in Milford.  She was married to Jack F. Wilson on November 1, 1952 and he preceded her in death on May 2, 2015.  Betty is survived by one daughter, Jacklyn (Richard) Henderson, Flat Rock, one brother, Paul Gray, Bradenton, FL, two grandchildren, David (Kim) Henderson, Milford, Jennifer (Matthew) Nicholson, Shelbyville, two great grandchildren, Reagan Nicholson and Emma Henderson, and one brother-in-law, Hershel Wilson, Greensburg.  She was preceded in death by her parents;  five brothers, Walter Gray, Robert Gray, Bernard Gray, George Gray, Jr., Larry Gray, one sister, Mildred (Homer) Crank, and one grandson, Matthew Henderson.  Visitation will be from 4-8:00 p.m. Thursday at the Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home in Greensburg.  Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, August 10, 2018 at the funeral home.  Interment will be held in the Milford Cemetery in Milford, Indiana.  Memorials may be made to the Road to Recovery.
